Got up at 3:30am. Dressed and packed by 4:20 am. Shuttle tram to North Terminal at London Gatwick airport. Breakfast. Must have been starving because I forgot to take pictures of it before I finished it. Then a trek down to gate 45 G. Then a bus to the airplane. The flight to Germany was very nice – no issues. Then another bus from the plane to the terminal in Munich.
And finally a wonderful cappuccino in the Munich Airport. The train ticket from Munich to Vilshofen was hard to read and when I went to the ticket counter the German (gentlemen and I use the word loosely) was not very pleasant he said is either to the right or the left and I said how do I know and he just shrugged his shoulders at me. So it turns out the 2 on the ticket means track 2. And the RE on the ticket means I look for the train that says Regensburg. (I found that out by asking a flight attendant who was also waiting for the train.) Then the announcements were “alles kaput” on the train so I had to watch where I was on Google Maps so I would know where to get off. Then I got a taxi to my Airbnb.
